I garden on a very small space. I have six raised beds in a sheltered space, and am able to grow and can enough so I do not have to buy much at all throughout the entire year. I also exchange seeds and plants with other local people who grow their own food. I have a garden window to start seeds, and am planning to build a greenhouse this summer with recycled windows and doors. I also cook I also have a large variety of culinary herbs, as well as lots of flowers. I do not use any artificial pesticides or fertilizers. I have a compost pile and save leaves in the fall for compost and mulch. I enjoy cooking and rarely ever eat restaurant food or from the cafeteria at work.
