Your backyard farmer (need not be you)
Our friends at Cooking up a Story have cooked up another great video, this one about two women in Portland, Oregon who have started a thriving, innovative farming enterprise based on a simple premise: build backyard mini-farms for homeowners who want to start growing their own fresh herbs and vegetables. It's amazing what a difference a year or two can make. A business idea that might have sounded crazy a few years ago is visionary today and, most likely, quite commonplace tomorrow as the good idea spreads to other communities.
